- Tax reporting reminder: the 1099-K, HMRC and DAC7 thresholds for platform sellersIn the US, platforms need to file a 1099-K only above $20,000 and 200 transactions. In the UK and EU, reporting applies from 30 sales or €2,000 a year. Here are the official thresholds.

- eBay UK: eBay Live orders leave your seller standards from 15 October 2026From 15 October 2026, eBay Live transactions stop counting in eBay UK seller standards and service metrics, including ones completed before that date. eBay says Live will be judged separately later.
- eBay's Q2 2026 results: what they say for sellerseBay reported $22.4 billion in Q2 GMV, up 15%, and says eBay Live volume grew about eight times. It also widened Authenticity Guarantee to more than 100 fashion brands in the US and UK.
- eBay completes its acquisition of DepopeBay closed the Depop deal on 30 July 2026. Both companies say Depop will keep its own brand and platform, and neither has announced a fee or policy change for sellers.
- Vinted spells out its rules for commercial sellers and Pro accountsVinted's Trust & Safety lead says selling mostly new items is not allowed, even for Pro sellers. Accounts get a warning and restrictions first, and repeat breaches can end in suspension.
- Vinted's updated Terms and Conditions take effect on 8 October 2026Vinted UK members must accept the new T&Cs from 8 October 2026 to keep using the app. The buyer-paid Vinted fee and the 48-hour counterfeit evidence window are written into this version.
