How this is measured
- Quotes: every typical price and buy-below we logged at least 14 days ago, counted once per product, day and price pair.
- Departures: listings we ranked and then saw leave the shelf, with the shelf behind them still there, in the 30 days after the quote. A quote with fewer than 5 departures is left out (86 quotes), not counted as a miss.
- Hit: our typical price within ±15% of the median last asking price of those departures.
- Backfilled “sold” flags never count, only listings we watched leave.
This is not a receipt record. A listing that leaves the shelf may have sold, been deleted or been relisted, and the price is what the seller asked, not what the buyer paid. It tells you whether our number matched where the market was asking, not what any buyer paid. See how every number is calculated.
