Poshmark ends its consignment program and moves to 'consignment as a service'
On 3 August 2026 Poshmark said it is sunsetting its current consignment program. It has acquired Linda's Stuff's operating facilities and will open the new service gradually.
What changed
Poshmark announced on 3 August 2026 that it is sunsetting its current consignment program. The announcement is a short post on the Poshmark blog under Seller Updates.
Poshmark's explanation is that high-value fashion brings qualified buyers to the marketplace, but that its earlier consignment model needed to change to scale. It says doing this properly takes specialised physical infrastructure: expert authentication, careful intake, secure handling and dedicated fulfilment service levels that go beyond a digital-only service.
The replacement is described as a 'consignment as a service' model. To power it, Poshmark says it has acquired the dedicated operational facilities of Linda's Stuff. The post says Linda's Stuff's legacy inventory and consignments are being wound down in an orderly way, and the facilities will then be repurposed to serve Poshmark sellers.
On timing, the post is vague. It says access to the upgraded service will open gradually based on available facility capacity, and tells sellers to stay tuned for details. It does not give a start date, pricing, fees, eligible categories or a price threshold for high-value items, so none of those can be reported.
It also does not say what happens to items already in the old programme beyond the wind-down language for Linda's Stuff's legacy inventory. Anyone with items in a consignment arrangement should look for a direct message from Poshmark or Linda's Stuff rather than rely on this post.
A separate Poshmark post on 31 August 2026 lists other seller tool updates and says a Seller Hub is coming soon. That post is not about consignment, and it also gives no date.
Who it affects
Sellers who used Poshmark's consignment program, or who held high-value items waiting for it, are the group directly affected. Everyone else on Poshmark sees no change from this announcement.
What to do
- If you have items in the current consignment program, check your email and Poshmark messages for instructions and any deadlines.
- Do not assume fees or terms for the new service; none are published yet.
- Keep an eye on the Poshmark blog's Seller Updates section for the opening of the new service.
- If you plan to sell high-value fashion, you can still list it yourself in the normal way while the new service rolls out.
