Best tools for a Vinted buy-below price: what each one gives you

Resale IQ publishes a buy-below formula (typical asking price × 0.70) for five EU markets. V-Hive shows a resale estimate and potential upside inside the listing. VintAnalytics, the Apify scraper and a spreadsheet give you data to build your own ceiling.

A buy-below is the highest price you should pay for an item so that the resale still leaves margin. Few tools state one; most show prices or demand and leave the sum to you. Resale IQ makes this page and is one of the tools in it, so read it with that in mind. The tools are listed alphabetically, not ranked. Every fact about another tool was read from that vendor's own pages on 12 October 2026 and is linked below; we did not test any tool's accuracy, and “not listed” means we did not see it on the pages we read, not that the tool lacks it.

What counts as a buy-below

A buy-below needs a typical resale price, a margin rule and a stated method. Resale IQ uses the typical asking price of current listings, times 0.70, and publishes it. That is a sourcing ceiling: fees, condition and time to sell stay with you.

On the pages we read for VintAnalytics we did not see a per-item maximum price with a published formula. That is a statement about the pages, not about the product: try its free plan to check.

Which to pick

You want one number to apply at the rail or on your phone, in the five EU markets: Resale IQ. You are in the UK and want an overlay on the listing: V-Hive. You like to set your own rule from data: VintAnalytics or the Apify scraper. You check a handful of items a month: a spreadsheet.

Resale IQ: who it suits

Resale IQ (ours) gives a BUY, WATCH or SKIP and a most-to-pay price (the buy-below) for one named model, from public listings plus listings seen leaving the shelf in Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal.

Best for: Resellers who already found an item and want the most to pay for it in the five EU markets, in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese.

Less suited to: UK or US sellers, anyone who wants a country-by-country sales database, or seller-side automation such as relisting. It is a young product: the Chrome extension has very few installs and there are no independent reviews yet.

V-Hive: who it suits

V-Hive is a desktop Chrome extension that compares similar active Vinted listings, estimates resale value and opens matching listings on other marketplaces.

Best for: UK-based resellers who want a one-click overlay on the Vinted listing they are looking at.

Less suited to: Anyone who needs published prices, phone use (desktop Chrome only) or a site in Spanish, French, German, Italian or Portuguese.

VintAnalytics: who it suits

VintAnalytics presents a database of Vinted sales and listings: demand, price and time-to-sell by item across 26 countries.

Best for: Browsing what sells and how fast across many countries, including the UK and USA, with a free plan to try first.

Less suited to: Buyers who want a per-item maximum price with a published formula: we did not see one on the pages we read. The home page shows no team, reviews or testimonials, and paid periods are non-refundable once started (EU 14-day withdrawal right if the service was not used).

Vinted Smart Scraper (Apify): who it suits

A pay-per-use Apify actor that scans up to 26 Vinted markets: cross-country price gaps, deal alerts, seller watchlists and exports to CSV, JSON or webhooks.

Best for: Technical resellers, analysts and developers who want raw Vinted data, exports or an MCP/API connection.

Less suited to: Resellers who want a ready answer in the browser without setting up runs.

Spreadsheet and your own Vinted searches: who it suits

Copy the asking prices of similar listings into a sheet and apply your own margin rule.

Best for: Occasional sellers checking a handful of items, and anyone who wants to understand the maths before paying for a tool.

Less suited to: Anything at volume, or when you need to know what actually left the shelf rather than what is still listed.
