Paid by the buyer at checkout on top of the item price, and not deducted from the seller's payout. Older pages and blogs call this fee “Buyer Protection fee”.
The Vinted fee typically includes a percentage of the item's or bundle's price, as well as a fixed fee — usually 3% to 8% + £0.3 to £0.8.Shipping

If you sell goods you bought to sell on for a profit, or made yourself, you are probably trading. GOV.UK says that if your total income from trading is more than the £1,000 trading allowance for the tax year (6 April to 5 April), you need to tell HMRC about it. Selling your own unwanted things is unlikely to need reporting, however many items you sell.
Since 1 January 2024 a platform such as Vinted may have to report sellers to HMRC. Your details are not reported if you make fewer than 30 sales of goods in a calendar year and receive less than €2,000 (about £1,700) for them. Being reported does not by itself mean you owe tax.
