How to Check What an Item Really Sold For on Vinted
Independent analysis from live listing data.
Vinted shows asking prices, not receipts. Here is how to read a price range, find a fair price and a buy-below limit for any item in about a minute.

Buy-below price
The highest price you should pay for an item if you plan to resell it, worked out from the live asking range of comparable listings. It is a guide, not a promise that the item will sell.
To check what an item is worth on Vinted, compare the asking prices of many similar listings, not one. Take the middle of the range as the typical price, then subtract shipping and your time. Resale IQ does this in one search and also shows a buy-below price: the most to pay if you want to resell.

Why one sold listing tells you so little
Vinted does not hand you a clean list of final prices. A listing that sells leaves search, and what stayed visible was the price the seller asked, which can be above or below what the buyer paid after an offer.
The same item also shows up in several country domains at the same price, so scrolling three pages can feel like ten data points when it is four. That is why we always read a range from many listings and label it as asking prices.
How to check an item's price in four steps
First find the range: the lower quartile to the median asking price among comparable listings. Second, use the median as the typical price rather than the highest ask. Third, take off shipping and the time you will spend. Fourth, compare with the most you would pay.
Doing it by hand takes ten minutes per item. The free check does steps one, two and four for any model in a few seconds, and tells you how many comparable listings sit behind the answer.

Demand + whether to buy before cash sticks.
Example: five items, checked on 18 October 2026
We ran five popular models through the check on 18 October 2026. The bars show the lower quartile to the median live asking price; the green marker is the buy-below price. In every case the buy-below sits well under the bottom of the bar, which is the point: the asking range is what sellers want, the marker is what you can afford to pay and still make money.
Treat each bar as a range. For Stone Island hoodies and the Adidas Samba the check itself warns that observed prices are widely spread, and for the Carhartt Detroit jacket the figure rests on active asking prices, not departures.
| Item | Lower quartile ask | Median ask | Buy-below |
|---|---|---|---|
| Patagonia Synchilla | €35 | €44.90 | €26 |
| Stone Island hoodie | €49.99 | €69 | €35 |
| Adidas Samba | €27.50 | €40 | €21 |
| Carhartt Detroit jacket | €59 | €90 | €42 |
| New Balance 550 | €20 | €30 | €14 |
Demand + whether to buy before cash sticks.
What to do when the range is wide
A wide range usually means condition, size or version differences. Narrow it by checking the exact model and size, and treat a price outside the lower quartile as an outlier until you find a second listing near it.
If you are selling rather than buying, price at the median and leave room for offers; if you are buying to resell, never go above the buy-below price. Check any item in the free item checker →

Frequently asked questions
How do I find the sold price of an item on Vinted?
Vinted does not publish a clean per-item sold price. Compare the asking prices of many comparable listings and use the median as the typical price. A tool such as Resale IQ shows the range, how many listings sit behind it and a buy-below price.
Are Resale IQ prices what items actually sold for?
No. They are live asking prices from public listings. A listing that disappears is counted as a watched departure, which is not a confirmed sale and may have sold at a lower price after an offer.
What is a buy-below price?
The most you should pay for an item if you plan to resell it, derived from the live asking range of comparable listings. It is a guide and does not guarantee a sale.
Is the item check free?
Your first full check is free without an account. Further models need a paid plan, shown on the pricing page.
