Price band
Resale IQ groups tracked brand, category and market rows by the average asking price at departure: under €20, €20-50, €50-100, €100-200 and €200 and over. Departures are watched listings that left the shelf in the trailing 30 days, a lower bound, not confirmed sales. A band describes the average of a group, not any single item.
As of 8 October 2026, items priced under €20 are 32.0% of tracked active listings on EU Vinted but only 12.3% of watched departures, while items priced €100 to €200 are 7.4% of listings and 28.6% of departures. Per 1,000 listings, 0.96 leave the shelf in the cheapest band against 9.63 in the €100-200 band. Neither end is better by default: dearer items move more per listing but tie up more cash per piece.

What the numbers do and do not say
They say higher-priced tracked items leave the shelf faster per listing: a €100-200 listing is about ten times more likely to depart within the month than an under-€20 listing (9.63 against 0.96 per 1,000). They do not say it is easier to make money there. A dearer piece needs more cash up front, authenticity and condition checks matter more, and one wrong buy costs more.
The cheap end is the opposite: low cash per piece, but 1,042 listings compete for each departure, so a slow shelf is the normal case. The €20-100 bands hold 48.8% of departures between them and suit a smaller float.
Pick the band, then check the item
Decide how much cash you can leave on a shelf, pick the band that fits, then check the exact model against its buy-below. The Ami Paris Hoodie (avg €70, buy-below €49, HOT) and the Fred Perry Polo (avg €12, buy-below €8, STABLE) sit in different bands and need different habits.

In the tracked data, per listing, yes: 14.47 departures per 1,000 listings for €200 and over against 1.39 for €20-50 (30 days to 8 October 2026). Fewer expensive listings exist, so the shelf is less crowded.
